 The United Nations came to 15 minutes media with a common problem: How to present lots of varied content in a clear, easy to navigate format. Geared to both the general public and members of the press, the MDG Monitor needed to appeal to a vast international audience. Add to that a very tight deadline. We developed an organized information architecture and designed a website incorporating their existing logo and icons. We programmed the website with up-to-the-minute newsfeeds, statistics and data as well as an interactive flash map. On November 1, Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, along with representatives from Google and Cisco, launched the website at a UN press conference. We had a productive summer and fall and are looking forward to a joyful holiday season. We lost our in-house activist and HTML guru, Sarah, to better paying jobs earlier this fall, and now, Amanda is moving on to follow her dreams as an illustrator in the book publishing industry. Amanda has been an important part of 15 minutes media for the past year and half, and we will miss her.
